Gait Analysis

Because each of us take thousands of steps--up to 15,000 steps each day-many problems with our feet, legs and lower back can be remedied by examining how well we walk and prescribing the proper orthotics. At Hartsdale Podiatry, we use a unique, easy to use dynamic assessment tool that tracks foot function and translates information into a Gait and Pressure Analysis Report. With this information, provided by the Footmaxx System, we can prescribe custom orthotics.

The Footmaxx analysis contains diagnostic information about the foot biomechanics of a patient, based on the analysis of the 8 key landmark points which are isolated and tracked throughout the stance phase (lateral heel, medial heel, 5 metatarsal heads and hallus) of gait.

The 8-point graph, 2D and 3D images produced by the Footmaxx System are a valuable part of the permanent patient record. These reports may also meet the pre-determination requirements of most payors.
